The MOST BRIDGES initiative, in partnership with the non-profit CrossBridges, focuses on supporting orphans and children without parents who are directly affected by social unrest and military conflict in Ukraine. With no adults to protect their interests, these children often fall through the cracks of an already overstretched or shattered governmental system. MOST BRIDGES works directly with educators to ensure that these children receive the support and encouragement they need.
100% of funds donated to this program will go toward:
American-standard education (STEM): Providing the creativity, knowledge, and skills necessary to pioneer the future of equitable and effective learning.
Innovative educational programs: Encouraging the development and implementation of bold, new, and potentially transformative approaches to education.
Educational materials and supplies: Helping children reach their goals by providing necessary resources.
Program Director Captain Sergey Zviagin has served in the Ukrainian Defense Forces on active military duty since March 2014. He participated in the liberation of Mariupol and Eastern Ukraine in 2014. With 15 years of uninterrupted military service, including 8.5 years of active tours and many anti-terrorist operations, he rose from a regular soldier and sniper to the Chief Commander of the Intelligence, 72nd Mechanized Brigade. Unfortunately, his fifth wound near Bakhmut left him unfit for further active military service in the sphere of intelligence. To continue his service, he transferred in 2023 from the Defense sector of the Ministry of Defense to Education. Passing his vast knowledge and experience to the new generation of cadets has become his new mission in life. His students will be the future Commanding Officers of Ukraine.
During his visit to the United States, he decided to gift his medals to Dear Mama at Columbia University to bring awareness to Ukraine’s pursuit of democracy and highlight the support of the United States.
“I want the American people to know that their help is priceless to us.”
